Stained Glass Quilt

Skill Details: | Must be able to accurately cut strips of fabric of varying sizes, use acrylic templates, safely use a rotary cutter, and know how to use the sewing machine you bring to class. |
Requirements: | One-day class: arrive 9 - 9:15a for a 9:30a start. November 12th (Tuesday) Sample size is 46 ½” square. This project can easily be resized Supplies 6” or 8” Scrap Crazy or Crazier Template set (Creative Grids) Fabric Colorful fabric – Ideal for use of scraps, fat quarters, layer cakes for stained glasses 1 ½ yards of contrasting fabric (i.e. black) for between colorful fabric Iron & (or use the class iron and ironing station) Rotary cutter and mat (class has a large communal mat) Sewing machine you are familiar with and it’s supplies (¼” foot, new needles, etc.) Coordinating thread General sewing supplies (i.e. seam ripper, scissors, stiletto) 12” square rulers Do BEFORE Class: Cut ½-yard of contrasting fabric into ¾” strips (24 strips) |
